This November 3, 2010 project schedule is updated from that presented to the Council on October 29, 2009. The reader should bear in mind that this schedule is a plan, and subject to adjustment over time to meet real world conditions.
Work on the 30% Design (subtask under Preliminary Design) is complete. In addition to the work shown here, grant applications have been submitted for various grant opportunities.

Feb 25, 2010 Second public meeting to review work accomplished to date, with refined options for further public review and feedback.
Feb 2, 2010 City Council Workshop held to complete review of design and location issues, and to obtain direction from the Council.
Jan 19, 2010 City Council Workshop held to review location, design and finance issues and obtain direction. Council requested additional workshop to consider more fully the design issues. The presentation materials are now posted here on the web site.
Dec 9, 2009 Third STAC meeting held to review location and design issues and obtain feedback.
Nov 3, 2009 Concepts and options were presented to the City Council to update them on work completed, schedule and some of the significant decisions they will face to determine the preferred option. The presentation materials are now posted here on the web site.
Oct 29, 2009 Second STAC meeting held to review work done to date and seek feedback.
Oct 29, 2009 First public meeting to provide an overview of the concepts, impacts, street enhancement options, and an opportunity to begin a stronger public dialogue about the solutions and community desires.
Sep 24, 2009 Meeting held with utility companies to review utility location data and potential impacts and options.
Sep 23, 2009 Stakeholders and Technical Advisory Committee (STAC) formed and first meeting held to review technical details to date. (STAC meetings are for the various agencies, including Longview, Cowlitz County, WSDOT and others, to provide feedback on technical options and solutions for the City and design consultant to consider as they refine the design options.)
Aug 24, 2009 Formal meeting held with City staff and environmental representatives to determine issues and scope of environmental reviews.
Jul 30, 2009 First formal meeting with City staff and agency partners, including WSDOT, CWCOG, City of Longview and Cowlitz County. A project charter was initiated to provide guidance through the process.
Jul 14, 2009 Surveyors begin field survey work.
Jul 8, 2009 Otak engineering staff performs site visit for a walk through to develop the photo log and review field conditions. Additional data collection also begins.
Jun 16, 2009 Otak, Inc. contract executed for completion of the corridor study to identify final alignment and configuration, perform environmental reviews, and to design the first project stage.

No further STAC meetings are anticipated at this time. Otak is continuing work on preliminary design. Additional Council presentations are anticipated as we move toward completion of preliminary design.
